Engineer Release Support | Brussels
Position: Engineer Release Support
- Reporting to the Team Leader of the Release Support Department.
Objectives
As a Quality Engineer Production within the Release Support department, you will mainly be responsible for handling deviations originating from the Production department. You will be responsible for performing thorough root cause analysis, assessing the quality impact on the intermediate products of Prothya Biosolutions BE and defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions. You will also be a point-of-contact for other departments to provide quality-related support.
Your work has a direct impact on the release of the intermediates products towards our clients.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- You will investigate deviations from the production department (root cause analysis and quality impact assessment).
- You will define and help implement CAPAs.
- You will handle quality complaints from clients.
- You will be the Quality/Compliance intermediate within the production department.
- You will work closely with production colleagues and their supervisors.
- You will work together with the QA, Maintenance, QC, Process Engineering and Product Development departments.
- Create KPI reports and report them to several target audiences.
Profile:
- You have obtained a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and have initial experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
- You are familiar with root cause investigation tools (Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, etc.). The specifics can be learned on the job.
- You are sensitive to quality and deliver rigorous work.
- You are results-oriented and pro-active.
- You know how to synthesize your investigation.
- You can work well independently but also within a team. You share knowledge and experience with colleagues beyond your own department.
- It is essential that you are familiar with MS Office (Excel/Word/Powerpoint/etc.).
- You possess excellent spoken and written proficiency in English. You will also need to communicate in French on a daily basis. While knowledge of Dutch is appreciated, it is not a requirement. Good communication and soft skills are essential in order to facilitate your collaboration with other departments.
- You are familiar with Lean Management tools (Kaizen, Poka Yoke, PDCA, etc.).
- You enjoy working in a production environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks (deviations) efficiently.
