Supervisor Product Support | Brussels


Function: Supervisor – Product Support

Report to the manager of the Operations Support Department (OSD).

Objectives:

In your role as Supervisoryou will lead a multidisciplinary team that aims to manage and maintain at Prothya Biosolutions Belgium:

  1. The « Continued Process Verification » (Trending) program.
  2. The PQR (Product Quality Review)/APR (Annual Product Review) program.
  3. Support Operational activities during deviations.
  4. Coordinates the BI and data processes

You are responsible for optimising the various processes within the team and between the team and other teams/departments. You motivate and coach your team. You are also responsible for the effective management of staffing levels and for managing your employees.

Main responsibilities and result areas:

As part of People Management, you shall:

  • Be responsible for guiding and managing the staff in your team;
  • Coordinate the ongoing activities within your team; 
  • Report and work closely with other departments;
  • Be responsible for developing the team and challenging them in their personal development; Take care of the training and coaching; 
  • Ensure a uniform and continuously aligned way of working within and across departments; 
  • Suggest actions for shortcomings and improvement;
  • Hold performance/development and assessment reviews and discuss career prospects; 
  • Conduct recruitment and selection interviews; 
  • Provide a safe work environment for your colleagues;
  • Promote a good working ambiance and motivate your colleagues;
  • You create a self-learning environment in which people grow and achieve with enthusiasm.  

As a Product Support supervisor and a member of the first-line leaders’ team of the Operations Suport Department, you shall:

  • Contribute to setting up and following up on the policy of the Operations Support Department.
  • Translate this into objectives for your team; 
  • Work very closely together with your fellow supervisors within the department in order to be able to take on the challenges more successfully as one team;
  • Be responsible for the planning and control of the activities within your team;
  • Participate in external audits when necessary and prepare the team to do so; 
  • Communicate internally on the activities under your responsibility.

For project work relating to OSD, you shall:

  • Represent OSD-PDS in cross-departmental meetings;
  • Participate in optimisation and/or lead automation projects;
  • Provide continuous focus on improvement, working together with the team;
  • Make suggestions for optimisation, cost efficiency, and automation and develop these further with your team.

Other responsibilities (in collaboration with the team):

  • Write and update procedures;
  • Improve the CPV approach
  • (Co)-lead and/or support projects to improve data gathering and reporting.
  • Understanding our data/processes and foresee impact of projects/changes on our processes.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings as the OSD-PDS delegate;
  • Follow up and perform the work for deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls, assessments, and action items in MasterControl;

Profile:

  • You have a Master in Engineering, Biotechnology, industrial pharmacy, Biochemistry or similar … with at least 5 years of experience in a quality-driven sector (pharmacy, food, chemistry …);
  • Three years’ experience in a similar management role in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • You have knowledge of statistics and / or continued process verification (trending), experience with Minitab is an asset;
  • Knowledge of quality systems is a requirement, experience with European and American GMP guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) is an asset;
  • You can set priorities and you are flexible and organizationally strong;
  • You are communicative and enjoy working in a team;
  • You are analytical, result-oriented, and problem-solving;
  • You are customer and service oriented;
  • You have a good knowledge of English (both spoken and written), Dutch or French;
  • You have knowledge of the MS Office package and other software packages.
