Role: Production Engineer – Joblevel 8
Reports to the Production Manager
Objectives
• Provide support from the Production Department to the Maintenance, Engineering and EHS departments to develop and contribute to projects.
• Take the initiative to review, draft and improve the relevant procedures and processes.
• Provide support to the Production Department for Continuous Improvement, EHS, Summer Shutdown and Opex initiatives.
• Support the Production Department by carrying out routine administrative tasks (creating deviations, reviewing procedures, etc.) and tasks relating to the design and development of necessary processes and equipment.
• Collaborate on various production projects by participating in assessment meetings and reviewing and approving validation documents.
• Prepare production reports, provide advice, etc.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Participate in various production projects, ranging from implementation to reporting (e.g. Cleaning/Decontamination In Place validation, method and equipment qualifications, technology transfer for production processes, etc.).
2. Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines within the production department to meet safety and hygiene requirements.
3. Initiate deviations for production and update procedures.
4. Carry out workplace inspections and follow up on the resulting actions.
5. Consult with colleagues and managers in the Maintenance and Engineering departments, as well as within your own department, and liaise with partners.
6. Act as the point of contact, back-up and coordinator for the production side during the summer shutdown.
Profile:
• You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering;
• You are young graduate or have a first experience, preferably in a (bio)chemical and/or pharmaceutical environment;
• You are familiar with OPEX and Lean methodologies;
• You have an analytical and process-oriented mindset;
• You have a strong focus on quality and deliver meticulous work;
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Access/etc.) is essential;
• You are fully bilingual in French and English, with a good knowledge of Dutch;
• You are a natural team player and share your knowledge and experience with colleagues beyond your own department;
• You enjoy working in a production environment;
