Job title: Senior Electrical Project Engineer
Reports to the Engineering supervisor – Process Automation
Objectives:
Prothya is looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer. You will lead engineering projects with focus on electrical utilities for the Belgium site, and participate in other engineering project as an engineer.
While leading projects, you are responsible for the study phase, quotation request, the kick off, the planning & budget, ordering equipment, analysis and design, implementation, testing and qualification, up to final aftercare and transfer of the project.
You maintain the electrical utility within the company, help investigations of event/deviations and take ownership of some part of the systems – and training for colleagues, if need be.
From an operational role, you are available to support other services within the company using your technical knowledge of high voltage, electrical infrastructure, industrial electricity and low-voltage electricity. You are the central point of contact for communication with external electrical contractors; for technical questions and for analysing and solving malfunctions in electrical supply within the company.
In case of severe power outage on the Belgium site you can be called on site for exceptional intervention.
Main responsibilities and result areas:
- As “Electrical System Owner” you are responsible for the follow-up of the electrical supply of the Prothya Belgium site, and you make sure the state of electrical installation within Prothya Belgium conforms to the norms/audits/is being updated when needed.
- You are the SPOC for all projects in regards to electrical supply.
- You are responsible for coordinating and assisting in the preparation and implementation of projects related to the installation or optimization of electrical installations.
- You are responsible for assessing any EHS risk in regards of electrical installation, or when working on a less specific engineering project, you participate in assessing risks linked to the project.
- You either lead projects or participate in project as project engineer.
- Project Engineering: you are responsible for complying with project objectives and site specifications and requirements.
- Project management : supervise external suppliers works on site and support the project team
- Project management Budget control: you estimate costs, collect reliable data relative to engaged and/or spent amounts, etc….
- Project management Planning control: you do and follow up the project execution plan within project’s objectives and time schedule, checking the milestones, communicating the warnings and deviations.
- Communication: you ensure a transparent, fluent and effective communication with all internal stakeholders as well as with external partners (suppliers, contractors, engineering companies, etc.).
- Your specific tasks include amongst others: designing power feeds & electrical panels (incl. High voltage cabinet), evaluating electrical subcontractors (RFQ & tendering), ensure as-built wiring diagrams, commissioning (FAT, SAT) & GEP Change Control protocol preparation & execution, ensuring successful AREI/GRIE inspections & compliance, coordinating repairs on site, and providing detailed advice to Management for strategy planning.
- You are present during the shutdown period (period of 4 weeks where the production is stopped and most facility works gets done)
Profile:
- Engineering master degree in Electricity (Ing./Ir.)
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical installations (construction, management, optimisation)
- At least 3 years of experience in project environment
- Thorough knowledge of RGIE/AREI
- Knowledge of ATEX
- Capable of making cable calculations
- Experience with TN-CS is a plus
- Experience with PLC is a plus
- Experience with cGMP procedures or Pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus
- Knowledge of project management systems and tools (eg MS Office, MS Project)
- Team player (support and guidance to colleagues)
- Good project management approach in different disciplines, including planning and organizational skills
- Analytical and structural attitude
- Thoroughly, independent
- Problem solving ability with a broad area of interest
- Proactive and flexible
- You speak and write fluent English, Dutch and/or French
