Join our Commercial Team as a Key Account Manager BE/LUX

Reporting to : Commercial Country Manager Benelux


Are you ready to make a significant impact in the healthcare sector? As our new Key Account Manager Belgium/Luxembourg, you’ll play a crucial role in developing and nurturing commercial relationships with key customers, including healthcare institutions, hospitals, clinics, and purchasing groups in Belgium and Luxembourg. Reporting to our Country Manager, you’ll collaborate among others closely with our Scientific Product Advisor to provide expert advice on Prothya’s products to medical specialists and prescribers.

Your Mission:

  • Develop and implement an Area Action Plan aligned with national objectives.
  • Prepare and manage tenders within your area of responsibility.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Understand and monitor the needs and developments of key customers.
  • Follow decision-making processes of stakeholder groups (purchase departments, pharmacies, and prescribing physicians).
  • Manage customer contracts, including annual revisions and adaptations to changes (e.g., hospital mergers, purchasing groups).
  • Develop compelling commercial arguments to persuade buyers and decision-makers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by monitoring orders, addressing complaints, and fostering loyalty.
  • Prioritize customers based on their potential in consultation with your hierarchy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific, pharmaceutical, or biochemical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a account manager in the pharmaceutical sector, with familiarity in tender processes.
  • Proficiency in Dutch, with good knowledge of French and English (for reading scientific publications and collaborating with colleagues).
  • An independent, initiative-taking entrepeneur with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • A hands-on, motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
